Iron-Age (Nidderdale)

is a Community Archaeology Project based at Dacre in Nidderdale

Meeting on most Tuesdays throughout the year, our main interest is in iron smelting and smithing from the Iron Age to Tudor times but inevitably there is much more to appreciate as our investigations uncover evidence of settlements other industries and ritual sites, some of which pre-date the Iron Age.
